He placeth merit in that, that by God’s government and direction (as he affirmeth) man seeketh salvation in things baser and inferior to himself. Unto the which he addeth this afterward; although not in them, yet in God through them he seeketh salvation: which also unadvisedly enough he hath uttered, and not sufficiently considered.
